Bray Hunt Pony Club - Dressage and Riding Theory

Brennanstown Riding School's Louise and Gerald Bloomer hosted two days of fantastic training for members of the pony club. The days comprised of equitation theory and coaching sessions with the instructors. With such successful competitiors in both dressage and eventing as the instructors, pupils received enlightened and competition orientated coaching, leaving with food for thought.

Roof Renovations

With a yard built in 1862 Brennanstown has been constantly developing and renovating the premises. In 2008 we installed all new stable doors in the main yard, in 2009 we completely renovated the left side of top yard with new feed room, rug room (including rug airer), purpose built lecture room and refurbishment of our tack room. This year we have undertaken to completely re-roof the line of stables which is new complete!

Christmas Show

Well done to everyone who took part in our Christmas Show on 23 December 2011. And congratualations to all the winners!

We also need to say a special ‘thank you’ to Santa who managed to find time out of his busy schedule that weekend to pay us a visit to present the rosettes.

THANK  YOU SANTA

Welcome Home Louise

We are delighted that Louise Bloomer is now back in residence at Brennanstown, having returned from two years in England where she was based with leading event rider, William Fox-Pitt.  Louise is available for private lessons for the more advanced riders, so why not avail of her depth of experience and expertise (what a nice Christmas pressie a voucher for a Private Lesson with Louise would make!)

Brendán is Back

We are pleased that, after an absence of 18 months away, Brendán Bergin BAgrSc-Eq (Hons), BHSII, SC, ETRL has rejoined the teaching staff at Brennanstown.  Brendán is teaching our term riders on Saturday and Thursday evenings and its nice to have him back with us.

NEW ARRIVALS

Over the last few months, we have added to our string of horses/ponies.  Joining the pony gang is Bumble Bee, a cheerful coloured chappie who is proving very popular, while Morgan, a nice brown cob, is very dependable for the slightly nervous riders.

STABLE MANAGEMENT

We are hoping to schedule evening lectures for those interested in improving their horse care knowledge, hopefully starting in February. Keep an eye on the website for dates.
