RIDING OUTHere are in Brennanstown we are blessed with stunning natural surroundings right on our doorstep.Once on board you ride directly out of the yard and into forests and fields without ever having to cross a road. Riding takes place on our own Hollybrook Estate as well as on the Little Sugar Loaf Mountain and we also have access to over 1,000 acres in the magnificent Kilruddery Estate, ancestral home of the Earl of Meath. Some examples of the Rides Out available include:THE LITTLE SUGAR LOAF EXPLORERThis ride is suitable for riders of all standards even those who have never ridden a horse before. On this trek we ride through the forest of our own Hollybrook Estate passing a Granite Round Tower erected during the famine and out through the old gates of the Estate onto the Little Sugar Loaf Mountain. We follow the trail up the side of the mountain until we get to our vantage point with beautiful views over Dublin Bay to the NorthEast, the Glen of the Downs to the South and the Wicklow Mountains to the West. This trip usually takes just over an hour.
THE KILRUDDERY EXPLORERThis is a slightly longer trip that takes you into the heart of Kilruddery Estate. Usually this ride is for slightly more experienced riders but we can tailor it to suit those at a more novice level. Highlights of this trip include riding down the "Lime Avenue" in front of the magnificent Kilruddery House (the ancestral home of the Earl of Meath), taking on a few jumps between there and the ruins of Belmont House and stunning views over the Irish Sea from Howth to Arklow as we ride along the far side of the Little Sugar Loaf Mountain. This trip usually takes around two hours.
