Lessons Have Resumed!

Now that restrictions have eased and outdoor activities are once again permitted, the riding school has reopened for small group classes (maximum of 6 in each group) on Saturdays and for private and semi-private lessons during the week.

Bookings are currently restricted to our regular riders for now and we are hoping to be in a position to take new riders later in the Summer.

Thank you for your patience and continued support over the last twelve months, and we hope to see many more of you again before long!

Covid-19 Update 31st December 2020

COVID 19 Coronavirus Update 31Dec20

As we head into the New Year regretfully we must inform you that the Riding School will not be open for lessons or rides for the foreseeable future due to the Government’s tightening of Level 5 Restrictions from midnight on 30th December. We will reassess the situation in line with Government guidelines at the beginning of February.

In what has been an unprecedented year we would like to thank everyone for your continued support and understanding with all the changes we have had to make during this Coronavirus pandemic.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy and safe New Year.

Phase 3 Update

As the lockdown is lifting and the spread of the virus appears to be slowing down, it is our intention to open as part of Phase 3 of the Government’s roadmap and we will be reopening as and from Saturday 11th July 2020.

Riding School activities will resume with the completion of the first term lessons that were cancelled in March and involved parties will be contacted via email.

We are also hoping to be able to run some private and semi-private lessons weekdays only from the 13th July.

Once our commitment with regards to the balance of the Term 1 classes has been met, we plan to take private, semi-private and small groups for the remainder of the Summer months – obviously spaces will be limited but we would hope to accommodate as many of our regular riders as possible.  Bookings will open for these lessons from 6th July and can be made on 01 286 3778. Payment for lessons must be made at time of booking please.

All lessons will be scheduled in a manner consistent with the current guidelines and the safety of our staff as well as that of the clients will be our utmost priority.

Once again, we thank you all for your patience and forbearance during the past few difficult months.

Coronavirus Update

Tommy Winky 2mp

We would like to thank all our riders and friends for their continued patience during these very unprecedented times and to update you on the latest position vis a vis reopening the riding school.

While equestrian sport is included in the list of permitted activities under Phase 1 of the Roadmap to Reopening Society and Business, we do not feel it is an appropriate time for us to reopen.  The reasons for   our decision are related to the restriction regarding the 5km radius together with the requirements for   putting in place the necessary health and safety regulations.

We are hopeful that we may be able to consider scheduling private, semi-private and   small group classes under Phase 2 of the Roadmap in June.  However, this is contingent upon us being confident that we will be able to comply with all Government regulations regarding social distancing, hygiene etc.  At the end of the day, the safety and wellbeing of our clients and staff has to be our first priority.

We are conscious that there are still two classes outstanding for our term riders from Term 1 2020 (i.e. 28 March and 4 April) and are working on how we will be able to deliver these two lessons.  Once this has been finalised, the clients involved will be contacted.

Thank you for your understanding and we really appreciate the large number of well wishes and kind emails we have received over the past weeks.

Please keep an eye out for further updates closer to the 8th June.

In the meantime, please see photos of the riding school horses and ponies who, while missing you all, are really enjoying their enforced holiday.

COVID-19 Update

In view of the ever-changing situation regarding the COVID-19 virus, we have come to the decision to close the Riding School from Sunday 22nd March.

This is not a decision we have reached lightly, but feel it is in the best interests of all concerned that movement of people is kept to a minimum while we all do our part to fight this virus.

We will still be open for our livery owners coming to exercise their horses but ask that all those doing so continue to comply with the HSE guidelines and use the hand sanitizing facilities provided.

The situation will be continually monitored and we will keep you informed via the website and Facebook page in due course.

We look forward to reopening once this pandemic is under control and things return to normal.

Brennanstown Riding School would like to thank all our clients for their support over the past few weeks.

In the meantime, stay safe and keep well.
